My name is Jezzia.

I am a two-time Alumna of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, a data journalist, an entrepreneur and an Artificial Intelligence enthusiast. 

I discovered journalism in high school where I interviewed the student athletes,  talked about pop-culture and created meme based infographics to make politics digestible to the everyday high schooler.  During my four years at Poly, I talked about sports on the radio, pitched some comedic sections, took down big trees on the Rugby field and finished a master’s in analytics.

I have extensive experience drinking tea before broadcasts, machine learning applications, editing audio, eating breakfast burritos and asking questions that come from left field. 

Through my experience in Mustang Media Group, the Hatchery, and BBR I have been able not only cultivate and improve my speaking and writing abilities but also became comfortable with self-expression within my work. 

Although I now focus on data transparency, application and storytelling, I am a versatile content creator with experience in all forms of writing from feature stories to academic research. 

I thrive in fast paced environments and am always looking for the next story to tell.
